Rainforest is a two-bedroom penthouse apartment offering Tobago luxury accommodation and is a perfect location for those seeking a Caribbean family vacation. Rainforest covers the entire upper floor (1000 sq ft) with stupendous views over the Bay of Castara and the beach below. With the main living area for sitting and looking at the view offering 500 square feet of covered deck with vaulted cathedral ceiling - this is the perfect location for those seeking high quality Caribbean holidays.
Most people walk into Rainforest and immediately comment on how amazing it is and that it exceeds their expectations for holiday accommodation in Tobago. The living and dining area has a real WOW factor and is a very spacious open plan space some 30 x 20 feet with gorgeous cypress hardwood floors sitting under a vaulted roof that is specially designed to allow the breeze to move through. The panoramic views arc across 180 degrees to the setting sun in the West and to the beach and ocean below. Bedroom 1 is spacious and comfortable with a queen size bed and looks out over the deck to the ocean and beach. It has storage and hanging space, as well as a chest of drawers, bedside tables, lamps and a chair.
Bedroom 2 is a medium sized room with two single beds that can be put together on request to make a king size bed. It has French doors with wooden slats that open directly on to a new (2009) 12ft by 15ft deck where you can sit in the garden surrounded by tropical flowers and shrubs with views of both the ocean and valley beyond. There is outdoor furniture for relaxing during the day or stargazing at night. The lighting has dimmers so you can adjust it to suit your mood. You can also access the deck via a passageway that runs along the back of the house. The second bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe and bedside tables. The floor is the same beautiful yellow cypress as the rest of Rainforest. The two bedrooms create a wonderful apartment for a Caribbean family holiday.
Everything in the apartment is new and well appointed to the high standards that clients have come to expect of Castara Retreats. There is a modern and well-equipped kitchen (with good quality pots and pans, cutlery, china and glass, toaster, coffee and teapots) and a recently refurbished shower room and toilet. Outside you will find a second shower for getting the sand off after you have been on the beach. There is also a small security safe for cash, documents and other valuables.
Our intention is to provide for guests a simple yet high standard of living environment for their vacation in Tobago. Though proud of our credentials as a Tobago eco resort, we also ensure the same high quality facilities as any quality villa in Tobago, or up market Tobago hotels, with hot and cold water, quality mattresses, white bed linen, free standing ventilator fan, house towels and full size frame mosquito nets provided to ensure your comfort. A hair dryer and a hammock are also provided along with a good quality iPod docking system so that you can enjoy your favorite music when staying in our apartments in Tobago. You can also use your iPhones and MP3 players on the system provided you pick up a mini jack to stereo RCA cable (available at Dixons at airports). We are happy to provide this system but please be mindful of volume level during the day and in the evening so you do not disturb your neighbours enjoyment of their holidays in Tobago.
There is an abundance of soft lighting controlled by dimmers to enable adjustments to meet your needs and mood. Our housekeepers are available to do laundry for a small fee. Towels and bed linen are changed every three-four days at the same time as a light clean up. Our intention is to provide everything necessary for our clients to enjoy their Caribbean holiday and their stay in our accommodations in Tobago.
